Debbie Jones, M.Ed., CCC-SLP

 

Debbie holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice speech-language therapy in the state of Virginia. She received her graduate degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Virginia and her undergraduate degree in communication sciences and disorders from the State University of New York at Geneseo.

Debbie has worked in both public school and private clinic settings. She has extensive experience treating toddlers, children and adolescents with apraxia of speech, articulation disorders, phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, social pragmatic language disorders, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities and developmental delays.  Debbie is PROMPT trained (level 1) and has continuing education in Social Thinking, Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol, Talk Tools Oral Placement Therapy, Beckman Oral Motor, DIR/Floortime and Lindamood-Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing.​

 

In addition to improving the communication abilities of her clients, Debbie truly enjoys educating and empowering their parents.  In her spare time, Debbie loves taking walks with her dog, Chloe, traveling, seeing live music, spending time with her friends and family and is Aunt Debbie to some incredible children!
